The problem I see with those Hilary Hooligans is they have no God damned respect. Most of them are young and stupid. And if your older and know better, you’re even dumber than I thought.
They take to the street and burn the American flag and yell “not my president” like baboons in estrous. And half of them are running around, without a degree, not even registered to vote and looking for the first opportunity to protest and partake in hooliganism.
Sexist, Homophobic, Islamaphobic, racist. Give me any excuse to go and rant. What about a real protest like wage equality or work benefits. No, they take the first opportunity to clog up the freeway because their candidate didn’t win. Protesting the president-elect is about as clever as pulling out an ass hair and calling it a shave. It’s basically pointless.
Face the facts: Your candidate lost the election. Pick yourself up by the boot straps and suck it up! No need to henpeck every vote count. They cry like babies that Hilary won the popular vote and the electoral college is unfair and archaic.
Our forefathers had a clue, how about you? Honestly, they would have taken you into a barn and given you 50 lashings for this behavior. And burning the flag? Back in the day, they called that Anarchy and probably would have hung you from a tree for it.
So how did these people get so poisoned that they felt the urge to take to the streets? Call it misinformation. Most are getting their ‘facts’ from Facebook News, idiot-unpaid bloggers, compulsive tweeters and any website news feed with half-baked truths or just all out lies.
And why would they make the voting age 18 anyway. Hell, at 18 your hormones are all jacked up and you can’t even think or see straight. Forget about trying to look at a computer screen and vote.
These young folk act like they are interested in grown-up things like voting, but in actuality, they don’t have a clue. Hell, if you ask them if you’re on the far right or the far left they just look at you with that confused look on their face.
I guess until you become an active participant in our economy, pay some taxes, have a home mortgage or buy some health insurance, the fact is, nobody really cares about what you say or think, what you burn or how loud you yell. It just makes you look stupid.
As Don Mills so eloquently put it:
“these young people today, they’re all interested in understanding politics and in expressing their “points of view.” It’s foolhardy and vain. Nobody has ever cared what young people think and now’s not the time to start.”
I want to thank Don Mills for this inspirational post.
