Building The Wall

So, does anyone remember the Alamo and the Mexican- American War that followed?  After Texas was annexed into the union, Mexico refused to recognize the province and waged war on the United States.  So in 1845, when Texas was annexed, war broke out which was disastrous for Mexico. The war ended in a decisive U.S. victory; the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the conflict. As a result, Mexico was forced to sell all of its northernmost territory, including California and New Mexico, to the United States in the Mexican Cession.  Mexico also relinquished its claims to Texas and the United States forgave Mexico’s debts to its U.S. citizens.

The push-back we are now seeing about the wall will also have disastrous effects on Mexico if they don’t come around and pay for the wall. Building and securing the wall is in the best interest of Mexico and the United States and its future relationship.  Trump threatened to impose a 20% import tax on all products entering the United States to help pay for the wall. Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Thursday canceled a meeting with President Trump that had been set for next week after renewed tensions erupted about the wall.  In one way or another, Trump is insisting Mexico pay for it.

Barack Obama’s Executive Action on immigration, which provided a free break for non white invaders who entered the US before January 1, 2014, created an “open border” policy with Mexico. Border Patrol agents were instructed to take invaders’ “word for it” that they had been in the US before that date, even though they were dripping wet after just having crossed the Rio Grande River.

The inability for Mexico to control its crime infested nation and fleeing population which includes its poor and criminal elements will lead to tougher border control and some form of taxation to pay for it. Remember folks, this is not an U.S. problem, but rather a problem with Mexico.  The impoverished and illegals that immigrate from their own Southern borders are just pawns to the Cartels.   They hold families for ransom and torture or execute them if they don’t meet their demands.   Do you think, as Americans, we should be rescuing these people from their own country?  Heck, they are not even at war.  Consider Syria where people are actually fleeing for their lives.

Today, British Prime Minister Theresa May visited with Trump concerning immigration and trade among other things.  There will undoubtedly be a new formation of a world triumvirate that will include The United States, Russia and Britain.  Not since the famous alliance of World War II have the world powers come together.    So Mexico and President Enrique Peña Nieto better get on board.  This is no time for posturing and liberal rhetoric about a border wall.

Mexico is now the floodgate for impoverished South American countries such as Honduras, Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and other countries in South and Central America.  Mexico’s poor control of their own southern borders has directly led to the increase in border crossings in the United States.    So illegals now entering the United States are not necessarily from Mexico.  They easily hop trains in South America and enter Mexico before they enter illegally into the United States.  Many are killed, starved or even rounded up and held for ransom by powerful drug cartels that control the railways.   (Inquisitr)

Do you know what the laws are for Foreigners who enter Mexico? The law is explicit. Mexican law states that you must speak the language. You have to be a professional or investor. No unskilled workers are allowed to come to Mexico. There are no bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections and all governmental business is conducted in Spanish. You do not have the right to vote no matter how long you have lived there. You can never hold a political office. Foreigners will not burden taxpayers; there is no welfare, no food stamps, no health care or other government assisted programs. You can invest in the country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

If you would like to buy land in Mexico, you are restricted. You cannot buy waterfront properties. That is reserved for citizens naturally born in Mexico. You may never protest, demonstrate, wave a foreign flag, join any political organization or talk bad of the president. And, if you come to the country illegally, you will like be beaten, raped and then deported. Probably in that order.

Now, the liberal bleeding hearts who are so sympathetic to the mess going on in Mexico want us to save them. They want us to call immigrants that come to our country illegally “undocumented” rather than “illegal”. It just sounds better. The largest immigrant population in the U.S. comes from Mexico. But, instead of our government enforcing immigration laws like they do in Mexico, illegals or undocumented workers refuse to assimilate into our society. They don’t speak English. The average American taxpayer will flip the bill for welfare, social services, food stamps, free education, free housing and free healthcare.  And that doesn’t include the anchor babies; children born in the United States illegally, criminals and the cost of deporting them and other expenses. On average over 380 BILLION dollars is spent on supporting illegal immigrants in the United States

Remember when Trump said this back in June 2015:

“When Mexico sends it people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people who have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us economically.

The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.

But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people.

It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably — probably — from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast.” – President Donald Trump (Boston Globe)

Trump first made statements about this in June 2015, when he kicked off his campaign. This was said on the campaign trail almost 2 years ago.  And people apparently still don’t get it.

What most people don’t realize is that Obama deported more illegal immigrants, mostly criminals, than any other sitting president. Trump was just reiterating the fact. Just because Obama didn’t verbally say it, doesn’t make him any different. Obama has deported over 2.4 million illegal immigrants labeling him the “Deporter in Chief” among some advocacy groups.  Of course, what most people fail to realize is the very reason Obama has had to deport so many immigrants is largely due to his open border policies.

In April 2016, Brandon Judd, the head of the National Border Patrol Council (NPBC) told congress that Barack Obama’s Executive Action on immigration, which provided a free break for non white invaders who entered the US before January 1, 2014, created an “open border” policy with Mexico. He testified in the House Judiciary Committee that Border Patrol agents were instructed to take invaders’ “word for it” that they had been in the US before that date, even though they were dripping wet after just having crossed the Rio Grande River. (The New Observer)

“They are still wet from the river and miles from any civilization and on their word alone we release them unless we physically saw them cross the river. This policy de facto creates an open border with Mexico for any illegal alien who wants to claim that they were here before 2014.” – Brandon Judd (President of the NPBC)

This is the type of ineptness and stupidity we have come to expect from the Obama administration and his eight years of failed foreign policy.  It is just another reason Trump won this election. Illegal immigration is particularly bad and burdensome in Texas, Arizona and California. Here are some numbers to chew on:

A FBI crime study also shows heavy illegal alien involvement in criminal activity revealed these statistics: (source: Constitution Party)

  • 75 percent of those on the most wanted criminals list in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens.
  • One quarter of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals, as are more than 40 percent of all inmates in Arizona and 48 percent in New Mexico jails.
  • Over 53 percent of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.
  • 63 percent of cited drivers in Arizona have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that number, 97 percent are illegal aliens. 66 percent of cited drivers in New Mexico have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 66 percent, 98 percent are illegal aliens.
Kathryn Steinle (left), 32, was shot to death, apparently at random, by alleged shooter Francisco Sanchez (right) while walking with her father and a friend along a popular pedestrian pier on the San Francisco waterfront in broad daylight. Francisco Sanchez, 45, had already been deported five times - and was recently released from jail by officials who routinely refuse requests to hand over illegal immigrants.

It’s obvious we need to do something about immigration. It is taxing all of our resources including law enforcement and our health care system. Yes, illegals do get FREE treatment in our medical facilities. Of course, the media such as CNN has spun this one out of control.  CNN seems to be more concerned about the fate of “illegal immigrants” crossing the border rather than what it is doing to our country and economy.

Vicente Fox, former Mexican President who is a staunch Trump critic, is calling for an all out war with the United States if they build the wall.   We could easily say that this border problem is really THEIR fault.  Unlike our northern Canadians, the Mexicans will risk everything to venture over the border into our country.  And for good reason.  Mexico does not take care of its people and they don’t secure their own borders.  They have also just rolled over and practically stopped fighting the drug cartels.

The building of this wall is not new. President Bush signed a bill for the Mexico-US border fence in 2006. He signed the Secure Fence Act of 2006 into law. Yes, it’s a wall that we already have in place, but is sorely inefficient or even nonexistent in some areas.  There are other areas that need tighter security as in places like Laredo, Texas which is an area notorious for drugs and Mexican criminals to enter into the United States.

So, I’m not sure what all the confusion is about?  Brandon Judd was again in the news this week. He came out and reaffirmed his support to ‘build the wall’.  Judd responded to questions by NPR this week and says the wall will not be rebuilt, but only secured which will improve security.  When asked on how the wall or building a wall would improve security, he said:

“OK, it’s going to be a lot more secure. But what we’re talking about is we’re talking about a wall in strategic locations. We’re not talking about a great wall of the United States. We’re not talking about a continuous wall from California down to Texas. We’re talking about a wall in strategic locations which then helps the Border Patrol agents do their job better.”

Mexicans on the other side have reacted angrily at Trumps notion to begin immediate construction of the wall.  In fact, many Mexicans hate Trump.  It’s obvious they see him as someone who is about to stop the gravy train.  You see, they are used to coming over and getting free healthcare and will be happy to work for peanuts just to get away from Mexico’s failed social order.  Remember, in Mexico, the drug cartels run the show.  And people are getting slaughtered left and right.

No one knows this better than Sheriff Paul Babeu.  He works in law enforcement along the border near Pinal County in Arizona.  “The Mexican drug cartels have almost toppled the Mexican Government and they are crossing into Arizona at will.  In Mexico, over 42,000 lives have been lost to their wars and that number is rising by the hour. Their illegal drug trade is a forty billion dollar a year industry. The stakes are so high and the competition so fierce, that Mexican warlords are sparing no expense. Pinal County has seen mass murders, execution-style slayings, sexual assaults, kidnappings, shootings, armed robberies, burglaries, and more — all tied to illegal immigration.” (Constitution Party)

Mexico has no welfare and most Mexicans are impoverished.  They continue to have children, on average 4 per family, when they don’t have the resources to take care of them.  They live in slums and join gangs and run drugs.  No wonder they are all running across the border.   We are not here to fix their problems, we need to get our country back on track and secure our own borders.  The drug Cartels have terrorized their own country while the Mexican government turns a blind eye.  It’s time for Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to take a side, either get on board with the United States and clean up the Mexican cartels and sure-up the borders or suffer the consequences and get left behind by your Northern neighbors and the rest of the civilized world.

And all this crime and mayhem may be coming to a border town and inner city near YOU.  So, remember the Alamo?  Well, I think commander William B. Travis would be flipping in his grave right about now.
