Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Vetting Terrorism

On Friday, Trump signed his last executive order for the week addressing foreign immigration called “PROTECTING THE NATION FROM FOREIGN TERRORIST ENTRY INTO THE UNITED STATES”  It is an extreme “vetting directive” aimed to curb radical Islamic terrorists from entering our country.

This executive order has pitted our long history of American belief in altruism against the very real fear of terrorism.

This was, by far, his most controversial executive orders, the last of five executive orders proclaimed by President Trump since his inauguration.  “We are establishing new vetting measures to keep Radical Islamic Terrorists out of the U.S. of America . . . we don’t want them here.”  Trump announced at a Friday news conference.

The liberal rag, PoliticusUSA was quick to call Trump’s executive order unconstitutional and “an attempt to codify prejudice and hate that goes against the values of our democracy which are protected by the constitution.”

“This is not only unconstitutional but rips apart the moral fabric of our country. The United States was built on the foundation of being a welcome place for immigrants and refugees of all faiths and from all over the world.” (PoliticusUSA)

They also point out that the 7 countries on the travel ban list include countries that Mr. Trump does not do business with and there have been no reported terrorists from those countries.

“It does not go without notice that no terrorist has come from any of the countries on the list which are also consequently places where Donald Trump is not doing business. It is no coincidence that countries where terrorists have come from are not on this new list because Trump is making money off people in those countries.

If there was any doubt that this ban on refugees and Muslims from select countries was about protecting the people of this country, it is gone now.” (PoliticusUSA)

More fake news and poor liberal loser frustration disguised as a bonafide political opinion. I guess PoliticusUSA forgot about the Paris and Brussels attacks last year.  It was reported in 2016 that French investigators had identified a Syria-based extremist who Amnesty International campaigned to care for in Iraqi jail as a suspected coordinator of attacks in Paris and Brussels.  (The Telegraph)

The directive suspends the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) for 120 days and immigration from countries with ties to terror, including Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Iran and Libya, for a period of 90 days.  These are primarily Muslim countries with ties to terrorism.  It also halts the issuing of visas and other immigration benefits to people from countries of “particular concern” and caps the entry of refugees in 2017 at 50,000.

“Upon the resumption of USRAP admissions,” priority will be given to refugees fleeing from religious-based persecution, “provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual’s country of nationality.”

After his announcement of the directive, mobs of protesters congregated at airports around the country.  Protests even erupted throughout the world.    Most don’t understand the vetting process, they only saw this as another Trump executive order to make America ‘less great’.  A federal judge in Brooklyn immediately issued an emergency stay to the order.  Trump supporters were quick to point out that this judge was appointed under the Obama administration.

Syrian refugees are barred indefinably pending a review of the screening process.

“I hereby proclaim that the entry of nationals of Syria as refugees is detrimental to the interests of the United States and thus suspend any such entry until such time as I have determined that sufficient changes have been made to the USRAP to ensure that admission of Syrian refugees is consistent with the national interest.”- President Donald Trump

libertycriesLast year, under Obama’s watch, over 85,000 refugees entered this country.  The contrast of those who support this order and those who oppose are as stark as those who voted for Hilary and those for Trump.  It has divided those with inflammatory rhetoric on both sides.  Senate clown Chucky Schumer, an outspoken critic of Trump and Democratic Senate minority leader responded and said ,

“Tears are running down the cheeks of the Statue of Liberty tonight as a grand tradition of America, welcoming immigrants, that has existed since America was founded has been stomped upon.”

Many are even comparing this to the internment of Japanese Americans by Franklin D. Roosevelt in WWII.   The executive order was also signed on Holocaust Remembrance Day, a reminder of the thousands of Jews who fed Nazi Germany who were denied safe harbors in the US and other countries, forcing them back to Germany where many were killed. (LA Times)

Many liberal losers are taking the opportunity to turn this into a religious ban of “all Muslims”.  Hillary Clinton even chimed in and tweeted, “I stand with the people gathered across the country tonight defending our values & our Constitution. This is not who we are.”

The top 5 countries with the most Muslims which include Indonesia (204,847,000), Pakistan (178,000,000), India (172, 000,000), Bangladesh (147,607,000) and Nigeria (93, 839,000) are not on the banned list and anyone traveling from these countries are welcome.  The original countries listed on the ban were actually the same countries listed on Obama’s terror list.   In 2011 , Obama banned all Iraqi refugees for 6 months over terrorism fears.  This is twice the amount of time than the present Trump executive order.  And many of these Iraqis were interpreters that were sent back to Iraq and killed for helping the American cause.  Where were the protests then?   Trump is defending his position on “extreme vetting” and says he is only looking out for what is best for this country.

“To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting.  This is not about religion — this is about terror and keeping our country safe.  I have tremendous feeling for the people involved in this horrific humanitarian crisis in Syria.  My first priority will always be to protect and serve our country, but as President I will find ways to help all those who are suffering.” (CNN)

The media continues to spin its anti-Trump rhetoric in the President’s attempt to protect our country from terror.  This is a different world we live in.  Most of the protesters are still in shell shock from the Trump win and will take every opportunity to continue to protest.  This is not about a religious ban.  Everyone who is here legally, including those with green cards, have nothing to fear or worry about.  That is irrespective of their faith.

We are simply tightening the noose around Obama’s open door policies that have allowed the terrorist element to enter our country.  Who can forget 911?  And Trump is not doing anything different from what Obama or even Bill Clinton has done before him.  Obama also listed these countries as safe havens for terrorists, so Trump is fully within the law to implement this order.

Our American and libertarian view of altruism has a long and proud history in the United States going all the way back to foreigners entering this country through Ellis Island at the turn of the last century.  The Statue of Liberty stands for that symbol of freedom.

People need to understand what is going on in this world and what is happening in other countries.  We always accepted people in the U.S. who had sponsorship of family already living in the U.S..  With the open border policies implemented by President Obama on his tenure, it has created and exposed our vulnerability and weakend our security to the terrorist element.

There is a type of liberal softness and ineptness coursing through our country after this election.  Globalization and the multicultural, liberal brain-washing sculpted by President Obama have made us look weak in the eyes of our enemies.  This ideology and feel-good mentality that was thrust upon this country over the past eight years has weakened our security.  There have been over 9 terrorist attacks on American soil in the past 10 years.  In some respect, Obama has down-played and even ignored the terrorist threats.  Somehow, by taking a higher moral stand, the terrorist threat will magically disappear.  This type of appeasement is what is hurting America.  Liberals and most Hillary supporters are crying and protesting that we should continue the failed policy of open-border immigration.  It is unprecedented and frankly makes my stomach turn.  People need to wake up and smell the coffee. Or at least smell the blood that has been spilled on our American soil.- Bill Wallace

We are now vetting people because we live in a different world.   Listen folks, this is not a new topic.  It has been discussed and brought up in congress many times.  We are vetting people for security reasons, not religious beliefs.  If you look at Israel, for instance, 16 countries forbid Israeli citizens into their countries.  They include Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Pakistan.  Almost all of these countries are Muslim.  These countries are denying entry based soley on anti-Semitism, not because of a security threat.  Iran and Syria also deny entry to foreign nationals with Israeli stamps in their passport books.  Where is the media outcry from CNN and MSNBC?

If you view the video below, you will see that President Trump is dealing with a double standard and is only doing what President Obama and Clinton (our 2 previous Democratic Presidents) have done and urged congress and the American people to support.  When Clinton suggest that we must stop immigrants from abusing our immigration laws, he got a standing ovation in congress.  This was 1995, before any significant terrorist attack on our nation.

Now, after multiple terrorist attacks and terrorist plots, President Trump is repeating the call for immigration reform almost WORD FOR WORD that has already been introduced by 2 previous Democratic presidents.  I didn’t see mobs of protesters take to the street and call Bill Clinton a racist or xenophobe when he suggested it.  Why? Because liberal America was not brainwashed.  Unlike today, the liberals think Trump is somehow the anti-Christ and that he is doing this just to ban Muslims.   Many of the most vocal protesters are illegal immigrants and liberal, Hillary, anit-Trump sympathizers.   These are the very people who do not see this country as a place of diversity, but rather a country to promote their own, narrow-minded ideas.  And if you don’t go along with them, they would rather stone you to death.  This is the twisted country we live in and the twisted way the news and the liberal Hillary losers are spreading fake news and treating our new President.

“We are a nation  of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws.  It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years . . . and we must do more to stop it.”  – President Bill Clinton in his State of the Union Address  (1995).

There is nothing unconstitutional about the vetting process.  Most countries support it.  We will continue to support religious diversity, immigrants and refugees of all faiths, as long as they are properly vetted and support our American values by putting America first.  It’s time to put down the protest signs and stand for liberty, life and the pursuit of happiness that marks the foundation of this great country.
