The Immigration Crap Shoot

At a joint news conference on Friday, President Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met in the White House in front of reporters to answer some questions, most of which included immigration and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).  Reporters seemed to be more interested in the recent ruling in the 9th circuit court that basically upheld our present open-border immigration policy which has turned us into a ‘sanctuary’ country.  The business ties and relationship we have with Japan is stronger than ever.  They have never had an act of terrorism in their country.

Immigration seems to dominate the headlines on every media outlet.

Another recent incident involving immigration was the deportation by ICE of an undocumented worker in Arizona.  Never mind that the deportation order was written in 2013 under Obama’s watch.  Now the liberal media and protesters are crying that it was undoubtedly Trump’s immigration orders that spurned the deportation.  Families are now ‘scared’ that they will be ripped away from their own children. What most people fail to understand, however, is these people are all here ILLEGALLY.  Remember, when Obama and Trump both went on a stump speech about how our nation is a nation of laws. Well, the illegals skipped that news conference. (NBC News)

Trump reaffirmed that “very soon” he would address the voters concerns about our open-immigration policy.  Many on the left continue to say, as well as the 9th circuit, that our vetting process is as solid as steel.  That immigrants and our present vetting process poses no imminent danger to our country.  Trump hinted that he is privy to information the media does not have and he reassured the American people in so many words; the present immigration policy is NOT ok and NOT thorough enough.

The National Review recently said that the 9th circuits ‘power grab’ is actually dangerous for our country.

“According to the three-judge panel, even illegal aliens, to say nothing of aliens holding non-immigrant visas or permanent-resident status, have due-process rights against government actions to protect Americans from foreign threats. Therefore, the president and Congress (i.e., the branches of government constitutionally responsible for national security) may not take such actions unless and until the judiciary (the branch with no such responsibility) has approved those actions. That aliens are not citizens and have no constitutional right to come to the United States is apparently superseded by their newfangled “right” to be welcomed into the United States courts. And even if they are not here already, even if they remain in the far reaches of the globe, this alien “right” may be asserted by state governments.  The states’ interest in having foreign students and scholars at their public universities, we are told, outweighs the public’s interest in excluding aliens who may be terrorists, law-breakers, public charges, or hostile to our Constitution and culture.” (National Review)

This liberal mindset that keeping people out of our country is somehow against the very fabric of a ‘free and civilized country’ is just stupid.   The liberal left and everyone pushing for an open sanctuary country has no clue what is really happening.  The media just continues to show you the few families that were ready to travel here and were turned away when the executive order went into effect.  They love to show you the crying children and the tears.  The angry protesters at the airports.  The ranting Hollywood elite at award shows that proclaim our country is THEIR country.  They will argue that the two year vetting process is all we need.  That the people coming from the 7 Muslim countries never had a terrorist come into our country.  That terrorist attacks mostly come from within our own country.  That this is primarily a “MUSLIM BAN”.  Even judges and lawyers are spewing that nonsense.

The protesters and liberal left should be more concerned about our Vets and what is happening within our own borders than what is happening outside of them.  So where is the proof that these immigrants are all so bad and dangerous?

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, and a New York writer focusing on radical Islam recently wrote an excellent example of why we need stronger vetting. (ENOUGH IRAQI REFUGEE TERRORISTS AND RAPISTS-An immigration policy that puts America first.)

Did you know that there are more Iraqis living in the United States than in some major cities in Iraq?  In Obama’s first year in office in 2009, he resettled 30,000 Iraqis in the United States, most of them in California.  82% of them are on Medicaid and 87% are on food stamps.  Looks like that resettlement is working out great!  And how about that vetting process?  Well two Iraqi immigrants,  Waad Ramadan Alwan and Mohanad Shareef Hammadi, whom settled in Nevada and Kentucky, forgot to tell the US government that they had killed just a few American soldiers in the war of Iraq apparently boasting how he (Waad Ramadan Alwan) had fucked up service personnel using IED’s.  (Court filing)  In a 2013 video it showed Alwan and his buddy Hammadi trying to ship grenade launchers, plastic explosives, missiles and machine guns to a branch of Al Qaeda that would later become ISIS.  (ABC News)  Luckily, FBI operatives found out about their plans and they were caught.  I wonder how many got away?

This is just one example of many cited in Daniel Greenfield’s article.  Please read it.  And this doesn’t include immigrants vetted for resettlement.  Many are here on SIV or Special Immigrant Visas.

The fact remains that no matter how good you think the vetting process is, ISIS operatives are still entering this country.  People who don’t like us.  People that chant and scream “death to America”.  Why would anyone actually think that people coming from war-torn countries who base their everyday lives on terror, torture and genocide would actually assimilate into this country?  We have had 200 years of laws and freedoms that have made this country what it is today.  The people who live in Muslim countries, especially in Iraq, hate America and the freedoms we so cherish.   Who would want to import a way of life where Islam teaches hatred of Jews, misogyny, hatred of homosexuals and intolerance of other religions.

Just look at how they assimilate in Europe with their open borders.  They live in the slums of Paris and Holland.  If you entered any of their neighborhoods, they would just as well kill you if you are not one of them.  The Muslim can only assimilate into a culture of tolerance when their countries experience the process of reformation that may take many years. Sometimes hundreds of years.  Unfortunately, they are all faith based countries who are not wired for tolerance and reform. You could argue that we have Christians that don’t agree with other religions or are intolerant, but we are not willing to cut off peoples head for it.  Our country has left most Muslim countries behind both culturally and intellectually.

And much of the problem is based on Sharia Law, which is the foundation of the Islam religion.  This is a religion that makes theft punishable by amputation of the right hand.  Criticizing or denying any part of the Quran, Muhammad as a prophet or denying Allah is punishable by death. This is a religious law that allows Muslim men to marry ‘girls’ and consummate the marriage to girls as young as 9 years old.  This is a religious law that promotes Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).(Muhammad, Book 41, Kitab Al-Abad, Hadith 5251). It allows Muslim men to beat their wife for insubordination. And the religious laws against women are something from the middle ages. A women who is raped cannot testify in court against her accuser. A Muslim man can divorce his wife, but the woman needs her husband’s consent. A divorced wife looses all custody to her children over 6 years of age. In property cases after divorce, a women’s testimony only carries 1/2 the weight of her ex-husband. A female heir inherits half of what the male inherits. A woman cannot drive because it leads to fitnah (upheaval). A woman cannot speak alone to a man who is not her husband or relative. And the list goes on. (Islamic Sharia Law)

Let’s start by putting America first, not the immigrants who come here for resettlement and end up on food stamps and Medicaid.  Greenfield writes:  “There is a very rational solution to our immigration problem. Instead of taking in the refugees most likely to collect welfare or plant a bomb in a shopping mall, we should take those immigrants most likely to contribute to our economy and least likely to behead us while screaming, “Allah Akbar.”   Don’t call it a ban.  Call it common sense immigration reform.”

The 9th circuit has now basically said that the ‘ban’ is unconstitutional.  That it is a violation of “human rights” to immigrants.   But I would argue this has nothing to do with human rights at all.  It has to do with the protection of this country against people who want to take your right away.  Like the right to live and not die in a hail of bullets or dismembered by a bomb. (Boston Bombing) Those people who do not assimilate into our culture.  Trump said it correctly (Fox News):

“People that love us and want to love our country and will end up loving our country are allowed in” and those who “want to destroy us and destroy our country” are kept out.”

And for those of you who say that bombers such as the Tsarnaev brothers where home-grown and radicalized here, the underlying religious motives were only secondary.  The primary reason was the older brother’s inability to assimilate into our culture.

“Despite the outwardly religious motivation of the Tsarnaev brothers, some political science and public policy scholars suggest that Islam may have played a secondary role in the attacks.  Sympathy towards the political aspirations in the Caucasus region and Tamerlan’s inability to become fully integrated into American society appear to be the primary motives, in their opinion. “ (Wikipedia)

The 9th circuit and its judges are willing to take immigration chances, a kind of crap shoot.  Are you?  We could take our chances and continue our present immigration policy, keep our borders open and hope no one getting into this country wants to destroy us.  That they all love us.  That they all believe in our rule of law.  That they want freedom and cherish it as much as you.  That they will all assimilate into this country.

However, I’m not a gambling man.  So are you ready to role those dice?

  1. I believe in state’s rights, but actions taken by them and municipalities that so greatly threaten our national security with foreign attack are not among them. It is obvious to anyone who wishes to see the truth in this matter that that is a basic responsibility of our national executive branch.
